Important pointer to South Africans and South African companies in Angola:
It has come to the notice of the South African Embassy in Luanda that the Angolan Authorities have implemented a new Law on the Legal Regime of Foreign Citizens with effect from 2 November 2007. Although the new law is not available to the Embassy it is understood that this law provides stiff fines and penalties to companies and foreigners who are in Angola on a visitor’s visa, but who are actually working.

All South African companies employing foreigners and all South African Citizens in Angola are urged to regularize their stay in Angola and to comply with local legislation.
